COVID-19 POLICY
The presence of the novel coronavirus in the United States and abroad, and it's potential effect on our patients, employees and the community are matters of concerns for us all. As a doctor and business owner, the health and safety of our patients and staff is our number one priority. We are paying close attention to the recommendations and directives from the CDC, NIH, the Maryland Department of Health, and the Federal Government for updates, and our response to the risks it poses is foremost in our mind.
Dr. K MediSpa can finally announce that we are OPEN! We will be limiting the number of patients that are in for treatment at one time, so book your appointment quickly as space is limited.
Our new patient protocol:
-
When you arrive for your appointment, park your vehicle in the rear of the building as you will be escorted directly through the rear entry way and up the stairwell to your appointment.
-
Please remain in your car and give us a call. We will let you know if we are ready for you to come in. If we are not ready we will call you as soon as we are.
-
Please wear a face mask/covering to your appointment. We ask that you wear it the whole time you are in the building and your provider will let you know when you can remove it for treatment.
-
When you come into the spa, we will meet you at the door with hand sanitizer for you to sanitize with, we will have forms you may need to sign.
-
If you are feeling ill or show signs of being unwell we ask that you reschedule your appointment.
-
We appreciate you and thank you for your understanding and patience while we all work through these changes.
What we are doing at Dr. K:
-
We have educated our staff to understand the risks and means of transmission of the virus.
-
Our providers will wash their hands and use hand sanitizer between each patient and multiple times throughout the day.
-
We will be screening every patient upon arrival to identify and limit potential exposure to COVID-19 in our facility.
-
Treatment rooms, surfaces, equipment rooms and devices will be sanitized and disinfected at a higher frequency.
-
All employees and patients will wear masks at all times.
-
For your safety and ours, we are limiting the number of people in the office and intentionally staggering appointments to uphold social distancing policies.
-
We have changed our patient flow so there will be no congregation at the front desk. Instead, you will be escorted into a private treatment room for intake, treatment and payment.
-
Community items such as magazines, books, “tester” products, have been removed from common areas and treatment rooms.
-
We will be offering virtual consultations to meet with our providers from the safety and comfort of your own home, upon request, as deemed necessary.
What You Can Do:
-
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and use hand sanitizer.
-
Arrive wearing your own face mask.
-
Take advantage of our virtual consultations while you can. Getting treatment recommendations from your own home, who wouldn’t want that?!
-
If you are sick or have been in regular contact with others who are, we kindly request that you rest up and self-isolate to help stop the spread of respiratory diseases.
-
If you travel or have recently traveled to a level 3 or 4 country, we expect you to follow CDC guidance about self-isolation: stay home for a period of 14 days upon your return and seek medical attention if you experience fever, cough, or difficulty breathing.
Your well-being is our number one priority. These steps along with your personal commitment will help us all play our part in keeping our community safe and our businesses open. Rest assured that we are continuously monitoring, reviewing and improving our responses to the guidelines established by the CDC, NIH, MD Dept of Health, and other governmental agencies.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We are excited to see you!
